探寻语言之美

amphibrachic tetrameter

An amphibrach is a metrical foot used in Latin and Greek prosody. It consists of a long syllable between two short syllables.

Some books by Geisel that are written mainly in anapestic tetrameter also contain many lines written in amphibrachic tetrameter：
